I designed a menu for a Japanese restaurant in Germany. I also handled the broader design work, from the website to menus, postcards, chopstick sleeves, and T-shirts.
To reflect the owners’ free-spirited, funky personalities, I avoided the typical calm Japanese restaurant look and focused on a memorable visual world. The main visual features a bold sushi illustration commissioned from an illustrator friend, while the menu itself remains carefully organized and easy to read.
By extending the same visual language across the website, print materials, and merchandise, the restaurant’s personality comes through consistently.
